Jaunting cars are a pleasant and traditional way to see the area and operate on many different routes. There are jaunting car stands at Muckross House, Torc Waterfall and Killarney Town.
Millstreet Town, less than 30km drive from Killarney, is the home to the International Show Jumping venue of Green Glens Arena, where major international Show Jumping Events are held in July and October each year.
Killarney Racecourse is arguably one of the more scenically situated horse tracks in the world. Nestling on the shores of Lough Leane at the foot of Tomies mountain, it hosts several days of magnificent racing each year.
Kerry has another excellent race track in Listowel where race meetings are held in April, June, August and September.
For the Dog Racing enthusiast, the Kingdom Greyhound Track in Tralee (30) kms offers racing several nights per week throughout the year.
